CM Stories - Bristol Rovers til I die! /Paul Talbot

On CM3 I started a Bristol Rovers game, and in the first season bought young players for the future and won the second division with the team I first started with in my first season, breaking about 4 league records on the way and selling the teams biggest players to get a bit of money.

In my second season as manager, now in the first division, I started playing my young players, and as they where quite unexperienced, we never done too well and were mid table half way through the season until I spotted George O'Callaghan, an attacking midfielder who would change my team forever!

I forked out 700-800k for the player, went on a 21 game unbeaten run and finished 2nd. O`Callaghan was by far my best player and was 3rd or 4th top scorer that season.

Then in my next season in the premiership I expected a relegation battle, and my team where in 25 million pounds dept because we bought a new stadium and even more bad luck as one of my stands was closed down by a health inspector, but as my young stars where about 23 by now they where performing brilliantly but not at there best and we finnished top in our first season in the premiership!!

I couldnt believe it but in my next season we where in europe and had a very easy fixture list and started to get some money from winning european games, I also sold seth johnson for a big fee and was starting to recover from dept, I also hadn't bought a player for 1 and a half seasons now and as soon as I started to get some cash I started to buy a new reserve team of young players for the future, and my team where nearly at there peak of there careers at 24-25 and were playing at there best, and my new favorite player, Trevor Benjamin, was called back from loan at Grimsby as my first choice striker was injured, and he won me the champions league by scoring the 2 winning goals. So he was now a first team regular, and was the best striker you can buy, scoring 46 in a season! I also came 2nd in the premiership and thats where I'm up to now.
